He built up this area much like the Revolutionaries did in the 1700s and offered people looking to relocate a place to start fresh in a new neighborhood where they would have great proximity to a job.

The Northside represents much more than a “historic district,” it serves as a reminder of people in the early years of our country trying to achieve their dreams both in the distant past, slightly more recent past, and also today, as it is being built back up as a place that will soon become synonymous with “success”, much like the United States of America was seen during the waves of immigration.
